We participated in the ‘Good Practices at the Local Level Workshop’ organized by the Turkish Local NGO Humanitarian Forum (TIF) in Gaziantep on 21-22 January 2024.
TIF, whose secretariat is run by the Support to Life Association together with the Civil Society Development Center, organized a two-day workshop to increase the visibility of civil society organizations (CSOs) working in the earthquake-affected provinces of Adıyaman, Malatya, Gaziantep, Hatay, and Kahramanmaraş, to ensure their access to resources and to create a basis for sharing experiences.
On the first day of the Local Good Practices Workshop, a workshop was held with the participation of 16 organizations selected as good examples, including Buradayız Hatay. Our general secretary Yasemin Ece Yiğitdöl participated in the Women-Youth-Children panel representing our association. On the 2nd day, 123 representatives from international and local NGOs, UN agencies, donor organizations, public institutions, local communities, and initiatives participated in the sessions open to the public. Within the scope of these sessions, a productive and enjoyable workshop consisting of 4 panels on the importance of decentralization was organized.
