We brought together the tradesmen we support within the scope of the Tradesmen Project and the TPF representatives from whom we receive grants at a dinner organized by the Buradayız Hatay Association (BUHAD) 🍽️ Our board members Mehmet Ali Gümüş, Derya Gümüş Türkoğlu, Yusuf Emir, General Coordinator Didem Kalafat, Capacity Development Consultant Melih Ateş, Buradayız Store Manager Jasmin Amal Charif, Individual and Corporate Donation Manager Betül Karaca, and Aslı Cabiroğlu, one of the Merchant Project Executives, attended on behalf of BUHAD. 👥
This meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen our emotional bond with our tradesmen. We listened to the beginnings of our tradesmen and their current situations with the support we provided. 📈 They emotionally explained what the project had changed in their lives. TPF representatives also had the chance to hear the stories of the tradesmen supported in the project and BUHAD’s support processes firsthand.
One of the tradesmen we support, Filiz Hanım’s boutique name is “Zümrüdü Anka.” She returned because she wanted to be a part of a city rising from the ashes. Nejla Karadağ, the owner of a bookstore, had gone to another city after the earthquake, but our project gave her hope and she decided to return, saying “Why not?” Sezen Hanım moved us all by having a “Here we are Hatay” cake made in her patisserie for this special day. 🎂❤️
This meaningful meeting allowed us to witness the success stories of our tradesmen and showed us once again what we can achieve with solidarity and support. We are stronger together! 💪✨
