Right in the heart of the ancient city of Antakya, where the smells of spices mix with the sounds coming from blacksmiths for centuries; There is a place that gives the people of Hatay the security of seeing familiar faces, shopping, abundance and standing side by side in good times and bad times like the rows of shops in the bazaar: Uzun Çarşı 🛍️ Despite all the negative conditions after the February 6 Earthquakes, tradesmen in Uzun Çarşı are trying to exist again, to keep polyphony and diversity alive and to revive Uzun Çarşı.
On Giving Tuesday, we shared our prayers, wishes and dreams of the good days to come with our Uzun Çarşı tradesmen and said “We Are Here Too!” by distributing Bahur and Pohur to the streets of Hatay, which smells of history 🌺🌿
